Shelly Barrick Parsons
Shelly is a teaching elder in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A) and serves as
the Presbyterian Campus Pastor for West Virginia University through the
Westminster
Foundation of WV. In addition to her work as director of the center, Shelly oversees
the Presbyterian Student Fellowship at WVU

The PSF meets weekly on Wednesday
evenings for dinner, a program, and service of evening prayer. In addition, PSF
members serve the community through volunteering twice a year at a weekly pancake
breakfast sponsored by First Presbyterian Church, by sponsoring a Christmas party each
fall for Toys for Tots and the WVU Rack, and by traveling on mission trips. In
addition, she helps gather a group of graduate students on a monthly basis.
Shelly preaches at the start and finish of each semester at First Presbyterian Church, Morgantown and is available to preach at churches around the presbytery in order to share more about campus ministry and the Westminster Foundation. Shelly also teaches online courses through the WVU Department of Religious Studies. Shelly and her family enjoy cross-country skiing, taking in Mountaineer football and women's soccer and basketball, and hiking/biking the rail trails surrounding town.
